AI Act: applicable since August 2026
The EU AI regulation has applied since 2 August 2026. Its obligations take effect in stages, from the February 2025 prohibitions to high-risk systems in December 2027 and August 2028. Who carries out the engagement? +
Ulysse Trin, founder of Colombani.ai, runs the engagement from start to finish. Depending on the scope, independent collaborators may work on specific parts: they are named in the proposal, with their role. You know who does what before signing.
What if the diagnostic concludes you should do nothing? +
That is a possible conclusion, and it is written as such. A use case that does not return enough to justify the project is flagged as such. An engagement that saves you an unnecessary investment has done its job, which is also why the Flash Diagnostic is sold on its own, with no obligation to continue.
Is my company affected by the AI Act? +
Yes, as soon as you use or deploy an AI system. Obligations depend on the intended use, not on company size or on whether the tool is autonomous. The regulation has applied since August 2026, with high-risk obligations applying in December 2027 (Annex III) then August 2028 (regulated products).
Can we use AI without sending data to the cloud? +
Yes. Colombani.ai deploys local models (Mistral, Qwen via Ollama) on your servers or workstations. Data never leaves your infrastructure. This is the sovereign architecture offering.
